The album covers all colonies, protectorates, mandates, dominions and independent commonwealth countries, and includes all major watermark and perforation changes. It also contains issues tied to sets printed after the death of the King. It does not include stamps which are tied to sets issued prior to the accession of the King, of Indian States, or those issued during the Japanese occupation of the British Territories, and it excludes shades, dies, errors and re-entries.

The album contains 360 pages, arranged in four padded, deep blue, 4-D ring binders. Each pair of binders comes in a slipcase to protect the pages from dust. The overall size of the four binders in their slipcases is 26 ª 28 ª 34 cm (10.2 ª 11.0 ª 13.4 in). They are set to contain 100 pages with stamp mounts. Blank sheets can be used for additions, such as covers or other related items.
